LocoLink is designed with your privacy in mind. We collect minimal data and never sell your personal information to third parties.
LocoLink stores your locomotive data, routes, settings, and configurations locally on your device and, if enabled, syncs them via Apple's iCloud service. For license activation and purchase verification, the app may contact LocoLink's license server with your license key, a generated device identifier, device label, platform, OS/app version and coarse region/IP-hash data so we can manage device limits, support, refunds, partner demo access and abuse prevention.
If you enable iCloud Sync, your app data (locomotives, turnouts, routes, macros, and settings) is synced through Apple's iCloud infrastructure. This data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

When you buy LocoLink through our website, we process the information needed to create and manage your license:
Payment details are handled by the payment provider. We store only the purchase and license information needed to deliver support, prevent abuse, calculate partner commission and manage refunds or subscriptions.
If a Google advertising click identifier is present, checkout shows an optional, unchecked measurement choice. Only when you select it may we send the click identifier, Mollie order ID, purchase value, currency and consent status to Google Ads after payment. We do not include your name, email address, billing address or license key in that conversion import, and ad-personalisation consent remains denied. Declining does not affect your purchase or license.
The LocoLink app does not include analytics, advertising or telemetry software, and we do not track how you use the app. The website does not load third-party analytics or advertising scripts. When a campaign, partner or advertising link already contains attribution parameters, the website carries those parameters through same-site links without placing a marketing cookie or browser-storage item. If you complete a website purchase, the relevant source, campaign, landing page and optional click identifier may be stored with the payment and license record. A Google Ads purchase conversion is shared only after the separate optional consent described above.
LocoLink communicates with supported command stations over your local network or local interface, depending on the system you use. Your layout data is not sent to our servers as part of train control. External communication is limited to services you choose or need, such as iCloud Sync, purchase verification, license activation and partner demo license validation.

LocoLink does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is suitable for all ages and does not require account creation.
You can request deletion of any data we have about you by contacting us at info@locolink.io. Since the app stores data locally on your device, you can delete all app data by uninstalling the app.
